Now is the right time.
Making the decision to address personal problems is a significant life decision and it can be daunting to find the right therapist to help. I enjoy working with adults of all ages, backgrounds and identities and have many years of experience to draw upon to assist in the journey toward being the whole person you want to be.
Therapy takes hard work and dedication to face realities of the past, present and future and sometimes even more difficult to address the role we play in our own struggles. With a balance of compassion, support and challenge, sorting through the web of issues can become less like a trap and more of a chance for freedom of choice and a happy life. See my "About" page for further details regarding me and my approach to therapy.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often do you see clients?
Most clients prefer being seen on a weekly basis for continuity and thoroughness. Some prefer bi-weekly with therapy "homework" assignments in between sessions.
What types of issues do you work with?
I have a broad range of experience to include but not limited to: depression, anxiety, addiction and recovery, ACOA/family issues, identity exploration and development, emerging adults, veteran needs, LGBTQ needs, self-esteem, assertiveness and relationship concerns.
What are your fees?
My fee is $135 per 50 minute therapy session. If finances are a concern, you might consider bi-weekly sessions rather than weekly. This is productive however only if you feel able to engage in "homework" and other out of session, self-driven efforts provided and reviewed in session.
Do you accept insurance?
I accept only private payments in my counseling practice. If desired, am able to provide the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement (sometimes referred to as an "out of network provider").
Use the Book an Appointment link to make an appointment online. You may also contact me via private phone and leave a voice mail which only I will hear. Be sure to speak clearly and let me know your name, a good phone number and a good time to call you back. I strive to return all calls within 24 business hours.
What is your cancellation policy?
How do I book an Initial Session?
For sessions not cancelled or rescheduled 24 hours in advance, there will be a charge for the full session in order to cover the hour of therapy not used. Sessions not attended by 20 minutes after scheduled will be considered as no shows and will need to be rescheduled. Fees apply.
